PRIMITIVE & ALREADYtv
Take a look into on of my favorite shops in Los Angeles, Primitive. This video makes me miss all the boys at the shop and truly the essence of how much fun it was working there. Skating, clothing, kicks, Los Angeles, summertime. Loved it. Great times for sure, I gotta visit again soon.

Workin at this shop has made me love CALI even more than I always have. I am proudly from Southeast SD, born and raised but I feel like LA really raised me. I moved out here for school at UCLA and in the past 4 years, I've been through more shit than people my age. Out here is where I refined MY HUSTLE and came into my own, and I love LA for that. At times workin 2 jobs, double interning for fckin FREE, founded our sorority, got my degree, got into my car accident & had to learn how to walk again, lost love & GREW, made my worst enemies, but connected mind states with some of the dopest people that I ain't even mad at all those who hate on me. Even the boys who work at the shop, they've become my big bros, always lookin' out and I thank them for that. I have so many bonds with people who inspire me, challenge me, humble me that all I can be is a sponge to all the hustle, strong work ethics, fashion, art, music, that I've been blessed to be immersed in. Not that many people get that and I am fully aware of how blessed I am. I love Cali for the sunny days, the warm nights, LA for the mixture of wealthy, poor, hood, eclectic ass people that I see everywhere.
My friend moved out here a good couple of months ago and I was so happy for him. I knew he was in for some growth and appreciation for this magnet of a place that so many people only dream of living in. Sometimes I hate LA for the petty things like the traffic, but in hindsight, this is where I've felt my weakest mornings, my strongest moments and the place that's made my future as bright as ever.
I feel lucky as hell to live the life I live and you better believe I don't take a day for granted. LA has taught me to fuck the petty bullshit because there is always something better, a better opportunity, a better friend, a better experience, you just got be open to the changes and roll with it.
Thanks Los Angeles.

SUMMER TO DO: JUNE 26, 2010
Lots of dope things happening today, all day, just thought I'd share for anyone who wants something to do!

I used to work with Michelle Aquino in our HS days when we were both in ASB. I always knew she was going to do something in fashion and she's now opening up her own design studio specializing in cut & sew pieces. She's been featured in various magazines around SD, holding fashion shows and definitely creating a buzz for herself. So proud of her! I haven't seen her in years but I'll support old friends! http://mdotdesignstudio.blogspot.com/

BlakRoc.
Being the youngest (& only girl) at Primitive I am exposed to so much from all the boys at the shop. On any given day, conversation can range from them showing me the best places to party in Hollywood to them schooling me about.. well, school... and my career among other things. Other times it can be about the little details you need to know about building a brand or running your own business. But on a lot of days, a lot of my exposure is based on MUSIC. New, old, underground, hip hop or heavy metal... it doesn't matter. Working with a dj, a musician in a ska band and a huge music lover, I am exposed to SO much music on the regular. Today the music of choice was Blakroc. A project with Dame Dash and The Black Keys and an assortment of amazing other artists like Mos, Nikki Wray, Raekwon, Pharoah Monch, etc.
Dope. Dope. Dope.
One of my favorites..
Enjoy!

Hopeful Expectation
My email is full beyond comprehension,
I have slept 7 hours in the past 2 days,
I could be doing better in school (like always),
I've barely planned my 21st birthday,
... yet I'm H A P P Y.
Hopeful expectation is something that I truly live by.
Always work hard at whatever you do and trust that it will lead to great things.
So thank you PRIMITIVE for officially making me part of the fam and giving me the freedom to FINALLY quit my job-of-hell at the UCLA store.
And for the Ladies of CDT for reminding me why I sacrifice so much for a sisterhood. Happy 20 Year Anniversary Chi Delta Theta!
Life is good.
Thank you Lord for all of your blessings.
