I am so proud to be able to live in this historical time in our nation. Watching President Barack Obama become elected President, I am overwhelmed with emotions of hope, optimism, relief and excitement about what our future will hold. I can remember the many nights with my old roomie, contemplating and dreaming of the day we would have either a woman or African-American president... and now we're here, our dreams finally coming to fruition.
Watching our YOUTH celebrating with excitement and so proudly announcing to have voted is such a wonderful, beautiful, amazing thing. Watching Reverend Jesse Jackson standing in the midst of all the celebrations with tears streaming down his face was such a powerful emotional moment. I am so happy to be able to see this BEAUTIFUL moment in our nations history. I truly believe nothing is impossible now. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
